I'm really really curious from a technical perspective how the Vline interfaces with the unit and touchscreen and is able to use the stock nav touchscreen to control the vline, this is really cool!

Also is carplay possible with a dongle? or is it built in?

If it is possible, does it use the car's built in mic or it's own for bluetooth calling?

We still work on some other issues we need to address. Will work on it later in December. For now use it as a Wifi Hotpot.

For those of you using Carplay, do your phone calls work ok? Whenever I try to make a phone call or use Siri the volume is extremely low, so I turn it up to here the person. Unfortunately this turns up the volume for the entire head unit and once it goes back to playing music (still through carplay) it destroys my ears before I remember to turn it down. In addition to this, the person on the other end complains of hearing themselves in an echo...

Is everyone else having these problems as well? It basically makes the phone call capability of carplay unusable.

@gromaudio , are you guys working on a fix for this? The only thing I use my VL2 for is Carplay... so this is pretty disappointing.

Doesn't the stock bluetooth call audio take over even with the VLine?

It does if your using bluetooth audio. However, when your Iphone is connected via USB and using Apple Carplay, all functions go through carplay interface. I think it even disconnects from bluetooth sources (besides the apple watch). So even if I wanted to make or receive calls through the bluetooth audio on the stock unit I can't while using Apple Carplay.

Howdy all! So... I have a VLine-VL2... Thanks to a distracted driver who ran a stop sign on 23-Dec, I now no longer have a use for it. UNFORTUNATELY, I was not able to pull ANY of the cabling, the GPS puck, or the microphone. All I have is the unit itself.

I'm hoping @gromaudio might be willing to supply those components only to someone, because I'd like to have this unit get some use. I'm going to ask $250, and I'll ship it for free if you're interested. It really was a great unit at the end and it will be sorely missed.

That being said, $250 (free shipping) for the unit ONLY, no cables, gps puck or microphone. Acquiring those components would be between you and Grom.

Anyone interested?

You're telling me. I just happened to be fortunate enough to be able to have the financial stability to get another vehicle. Went with a 2016 Q50 3,0t... LOVE It.

Hopefully, @gromaudio will reply with an opinion. You might want to reach out to their support people on their website directly and mention the post. They are somewhat active here, but if you give them a link to this post in the support email, they will likely reach out.

I also have 2 x keys that were registered to my G for sale, both in GREAT shape, barely used. I have blank keys on order so that someone can get them re-cut for their vehicle.

Lastly, I have the full set of stock floor mats (front and back seat) as well as a full set of WeatherTech floor mats in black. The stock mats are in really good shape, but the WeatherTechs are in amazing shape. I don't want to break any forum rules by being off-topic and offering them for sale with prices, but if you DM me, I will let anyone know what I'm looking for.
