After two days of research, turns out Dvd 0 of the 5 disc set for the map updates contains a newer firmware than the one listed in the TSB above. The tsb above says upgrade to X1 UC2003. Rather than paying the dealer 150 to put in the update to just the firmware, I broken down and spent 170 (after tax) on the map set. What bugs me the most is the DVD 0 doesnt require any serial number. The firmware on the 2018 disk is X1UC2006
Either way this is a total rip. Didnt even want the maps. Two dealers told me they'd charge 150 bucks to stick the update mentioned in that TSB above DVD in my car for 15 mins, just so my bluetooth can work again. When I explained to them I knew what the procedure is (sticking a DVD in the slot), they told me I am wrong and its "more complicated" and wouldnt even concede when I told them I had the TSB with the procedures in front of me.
Ive owned alot of cars, but no dealership network has been more despicable than Infiniti. Time and time again, with both Infiniti's I own, I've come to expect frustration and disappointment dealing with Infiniti dealers.

@sev1980, when you say "DVD 0 of the 5 disc set", do you mean the set you had came with six discs, or are they just numbered 0 thru 4?
I've come to similar conclusion as you that I'm willing to break down and buy the maps I don't really want just to get the software update. At least I get the maps for the same money I'd pay the dealer just to update my software. I just want to triple-check that dropping that $150+tax really gets me the software needed to fix this bluetooth BS.
@codeflux, did you have any luck with the "map" update?
Thanks to everyone for posting their experiences with this!

yes, you are correct, its dvd 0 out of 5. They are numbered 0-5
Honestly, I'd be happy to share the DVD 0, sad that everyone has to buy this stuff for basic functionality. Should be here next week. It doesnt require a code like the maps do.

@sev1980 So disk 0 of 5 include the firmware update, disks 1-5 are the data?
I don't have bt issues. At least I don't think I do as I rarely use BT. I have experienced issues with the nav shutting down or rebooting on long trips while playing mp3's.
I have whatever maps came with the car back in late 2011. Our area hasn't changed enough to justify the cost.

Pisses me off I had to pay 170 bucks for it.
I spent two days searching the internet high and low. I found the european version of that software applications disc, which i burned .....and it didnt work.

Jesus that was nerve wrecking.
I wiped the DVD down on my shirt and tried it again. For like 6th time. And it worked. I’m on second disk now.
/edit And it’s all done. Will test it out on the drive to work tomorrow. Honestly, very low expectations.
