Updated to the new IOS and my Bluetooth keeps on disconnecting. The screen is telling me that the phone is not compatible when i disconnect. Found that turning the Bluetooth off then on fixes the problem temporary. This got too annoying so i just use the usb plug usually now.

So in IOS 10 many of us had issues with calls coming in and we could hear the caller but they couldn't hear us, now with IOS 11 I get:
1.Long Bluetooth connect times
2. Regular disconnects of Bluetooth
3. Choppy music streaming through Bluetooth of internet-based apps and locally stored iTunes music.
Fixes so far:
1. Go to Bluetooth settings and manually click connect on the cars Bluetooth and the phone connects but won't do it automatically.
2.Restart phone to fix disconnect or power off and on again or turn Bluetooth off and on again.
3. Play Music from USB avoid using Bluetooth for music.
I have used an iPhone 8 got choppy music and disconnects.
Iphone 6 Plus with fresh IOS install and without both get connection issues with Bluetooth but no choppy music.
Seems our horrible Bluetooth in our cars will always have issues before all the disconnects it was the bad microphone that always makes people think I have a bad phone signal.

i have an older iPhone with no cell service that i just leave in the car (connected to USB) for music.
after IOS10, the car doesn't "see" it every 3rd or 4th time i start the car, and have to unplug it and plug it back in. very annoying.
never had that problem before i updated. will not update it any further.

I'm having the same issue since the newest iPhone updates. I've read that there is an update that can be applied by the dealer that will fix this.

Is there a fee for the dealer update? Will the update fix the Bluetooth Audio disconnect?
Thanks!

My '13 Altima did the same thing, but not quite as often.
The USB connection refuses to connect to my iPhone. It starts to charge then disconnects and reconnects rapidly over and over. I'm afraid it will burn out the phone doing that, so I haven't used it. Is there a firmware/software update available to fix these issues?
Thanks for the thread!!!

Same problems... iPhone 6S + 2011 G37 sedan with navi.
Bluetooth disconnects every 10 minutes +/- a few seconds. First started with iOS 9, then was somehow fixed with iOS 10, and now happening again with iOS 11.
Sometimes phone reconnects by itself, sometimes it doesn't at all. Sometimes power-cycling bluetooth on the car and/or on the phone works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes wheel controls stop working...
Extremely annoying, considering it's my only source of music/podcasts on my commute.
