iPhone connectivity issues

My phone started connecting correctly after this latest iPhone update (10.3.1). I'm able to make calls and answer them without an issue every single time now. Hopefully it's the same for everyone else.

I just updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 10.3.1 but didn't change. My friend with an iPhone 7 tried calling me and we couldn't hear each other. I called him back and it was perfect.

I was having the same problem with peeps not being able to hear me when answering the phone in the car. I did the below change to the phone (iPhone 7) and it now works for me.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Call Audio Routing: Change it from 'Automatic' to 'Bluetooth Headset'.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Call Audio Routing: Change it from 'Automatic' to 'Bluetooth Headset'.

I'll have to try that thanks. Will you be able to use the phone for calls when not connected to the car with this setting or do you have to keep switching it?

I took a call today away from the car and it worked fine. I think this setting only applies when it is connected to a BT device.

I couldn't find any software info for the Bluetooth through the display. All I could find was map info. My current map version is 11-12 no.1, unit ID: 94-29016866, program version: X5U12017. Not sure if this needs an update or has anything to do with the phone connectivity...

i have a 6 and nothing has worked. SUPER infuriating. Just ask my Grammy. I haven't called her in forever bc of this problem. I'm driving with my phone in my lap like it was 1999.
