Noise coming from speaker inside the hood?

Hey guys, I'd really appreciate your help. I have a 2012 G37x. I went to unlock my trunk this morning and my car started to emit a high-pitched noise from the hood. I tried turning my car on/off, unlocking/relocking my door and even hitting the panic button. I popped my hood open and found the part that was causing the noise is 25640-JK70A "BUZZER ASSY-ENT". I have unplugged the part for the time being until I am able to get this problem resolved.

I have attached a video below and pictures of the part.

Yes it is, I just tested it out and it doesn't beep without it installed.

I had unlocked my trunk with the button next to the camera.

Yeah it's definitely not that. I'm guessing there's a short somewhere. I'll try to get access to a multimeter tomorrow.
