Does Infiniti not like Android phones?
Switched from an iPhone to an Android last week. I plug it in and it says "Check connected device"
At least I was able to play songs from my iPhone Music app.

I take it you are trying to play music? Do you have Nav? The reason it only reads Ios is because ios still uses the old Ipod software for harline connections. And back when parts were designed, Ipods and mp3 players were big. Then smartphones hit over night and alot of companies are still playing catch up.

With my '11 coupe w/ navi ... I use the BT audio and telephony connection every day with my LG G4 and previously w/ my LG G2. Hardly ever a hiccup unless I was the one confusing it with my gf's device and mine trying to pair at the same time, it worked itself out after a couple of minutes and in the meantime, we just listened to the USB source audio.

Not sure if this work, but maybe we need to change they way Android acts when connected to USB.
There should be an option somewhere to select "media" when connected to a USB.
But yeah, I use bluetooth because it connects everything. From music, phone, text, etc.

My android works over bluetooth but there's always been some feedback during music playback. I got an ipod touch off of Craiglist just so I could plug it in under the armrest and forget about it. Plus I can take it to the gym as my beater so I don't have to carry around my phone.

I tried with Bluetooth and it doesn't work. I have a 2011 with no nav so that might be the issue. I tried various ways to play but it doesn't play.
I even selected Media on the Android after connecting USB. Still no go.
I guess I'll leave a small iPod connected in there.
