Does Infiniti not like Android phones?

Switched from an iPhone to an Android last week. I plug it in and it says "Check connected device"

At least I was able to play songs from my iPhone Music app.

No. I just plugged in the USB and microUSB into the phone and it said "Check connected phone"

I will try again tomorrow.

It's not just Infiniti that doesn't like Android... Haha. Sometimes I wonder if iOS is not the VHS of this era.

I have an Android phone and I'm able to stream music via bluetooth and make phone calls. How can I get it to display text messages on the screen?

I take it you are trying to play music? Do you have Nav? The reason it only reads Ios is because ios still uses the old Ipod software for harline connections. And back when parts were designed, Ipods and mp3 players were big. Then smartphones hit over night and alot of companies are still playing catch up.

Make note that the poster above that mentioned the text messages has a 2015. That might have been one of the small additions added to the dashboard head unit capabilities when they switched over to the Q60 naming convention or even the year previous -- they've certainly removed things over the years (aux input, like the on board hard drive based jukebox to load/rip cd's too) as well as adding the usb port and much better navigation touchscreen (I think in '10 but '11 for certain).

With my '11 coupe w/ navi ... I use the BT audio and telephony connection every day with my LG G4 and previously w/ my LG G2. Hardly ever a hiccup unless I was the one confusing it with my gf's device and mine trying to pair at the same time, it worked itself out after a couple of minutes and in the meantime, we just listened to the USB source audio.

Not sure if this work, but maybe we need to change they way Android acts when connected to USB.

There should be an option somewhere to select "media" when connected to a USB.

But yeah, I use bluetooth because it connects everything. From music, phone, text, etc.

My android works over bluetooth but there's always been some feedback during music playback. I got an ipod touch off of Craiglist just so I could plug it in under the armrest and forget about it. Plus I can take it to the gym as my beater so I don't have to carry around my phone.

I tried with Bluetooth and it doesn't work. I have a 2011 with no nav so that might be the issue. I tried various ways to play but it doesn't play.

I even selected Media on the Android after connecting USB. Still no go.

I guess I'll leave a small iPod connected in there.
