Centre console and screen dead

Can you guys help me diagnose this problem. I'm out of warranty
Here is a video

Basically everything is dead, the AC is working automatically on its own, I can't control it. Screen is dead, music is dead, I thought the board was toast but it still lights up (buttons, and the clock, and airbag passenger 2 light). Looked at the back connections seem to be fine. I think what happened is buddy was installing the grom head unit, and he turned on the power (ON position) before all the connectors were back in place, because i'm getting that flashing airbag warning now too. I am hoping all he caused was a burnt fuse or two, where would I find the fuses related to the center console/display or head unit (if it exists)

Here's a pic. All is lit up. But screen is dead and no controls/buttons work, except for the hazard lights and clock adjusting, they work

Thanks alot!

Hey thanks. I checked, they seem fine. I assume if the fuse is closed it is working, if thats' not true, and they may be blown although they look fine, let me know

Here is the fuse diagram, not too sure which one would be responsible for the screen not turning on and buttons not working, But everything lighting up fine

I had a same problem when my audio installer tried to install my USA spec... Left battery connected and fried the circuit board. I had to purchase a brand new control panel which fixed the issue.

Piece I had to replace http://m.ebay.com/itm/10-11-12-13-INFINITI-G37-AC-HEATER-CLIMATE-CONTROL-W-AUDIO-CONTROL-PANEL-OEM-/311402439666?nav=SEARCH

shoot. thanks man. I'm a bit disappointed he didn't remove the battery while doing work, but stuff happens. Was yours similarly lighting up fine, but no controls, and screen dead?

Is the screen not turning on simply because that piece above is not working? Want to ensure I don't need a new screen too, and praying the head unit isn't fried. If its just the above item that needs to be replaced, I got off easy

If memory serves me correct my head unit reacted just as yours... My installer was the one to figure out and order the new control panel. I believe both the screen/control unit work as one so if one doesn't work the other one wont either. Once he replaced the lower control unit, the screen/all buttons started to work as normal.

Replaced the lower unit as discussed, and same issue. Wasted bucks . Not sure what else it can be. Is there a fuse responsible for this console

Check them all! One at a time! Audio/mirror possibly. If none are blown take it to the dealer and pay the diagnosis fee and go from there.

Did you find a solution to it? PLS HELP

The exact thing happened to me with the GROM audio. I just bought another head unit and it still didn’t fix the problem. I’ve looked at all the fuses

Remember to check all 3

Please remember that the Calsonic Kansei AC control unit AMP (white box above the CD/Navi media unit) needs to be replaced as well.
Check fuse, AC control AMP, and Media unit. Any of those could be the culprit.
