Iphone 6 not play music thru usb audio plug
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody else is having problems with their iphone 6 not play music or charging thru the usb plug under the armrest. My iphone 5 worked just fine, not so good with 6. I plugged my new phone into my other car pioneer deck thru usb and it just fine.

I have a 6 and have the same problem. I have an 11 with nav so I can go to the Bluetooth setting and enable Bluetooth audio. I can still skip tracks and stuff using the buttons on the radio. The only thing the USB is good for right now is charging.

Its an IOS8 issue, I updated my Iphone5S to IOS8 and it stopped playing. I have to go to my iphone, go to music, select music and press play, then it will start playing in the car. From there I can toggle forward and back but can't get into playlists or select songs from the nav or steering wheel controls. Its an apple issue, they will fix it and release another update eventually.

Yea I'm having this same problem since the ios8 update. Sometimes I can play music through the radio but 9/10 I have to use my phone. Really sucks as I can't cycle threw songs unless I pick up my phone.

I'm having a similar issue with my 2012 G37x. Worked with my iPhone 5S sometimes, but would take a long time to communicate the song information to the display, and would sometimes freeze. Now, with my iPhone 6 Plus, it will load the song information on screen, but does not allow me to change tracks. If I attempt to do so using the control panel in the G, it freezes the audio window completely. I can change to XM/FM, etc, but the audio panel freezes completely.
I'm new to Infiniti, coming from a 2010 Audi A4 (worst car I have ever owned, period). Is there a software update or some such thing that can fix the problem?

I had the same problem and it seems to be caused by "cloud" purchases in your song list. You can configure your phone to only show music that is actually on the phone and it works fine.
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store
Disable everything under the "Show All" section. It should just be "Music" and "Videos" that you have to turn off. The G doesn't know how to deal with songs that aren't local to the phone.

Not only do i have the issues above, it seems the ios 8.02 update has now render the radio on and off button obsolete. I have to unplug the usb cord from the phone to turn the radio on/off, weird. Some members have fixed this by resetting the phone and network settings, but this didnt work for me. I have the 6+.
