Mid Mounting depth?

thats a tweeter not a mid.
you can fit a 3" or maybe 3.25". As for depth....I would say 3" but most tweeters arent more than .5" deep
what are you trying to fit in that location?

Im assuming that he has the bose system. In my '11 w/ bose, that speaker is a mid, tweeter is above that, closer to the pillar. I don't have measurements of the depth, but I will be replacing them soon. Whatever the case may be, I'll make the replacements fit :-D

The Fountek FR88ex (http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com...x-3-full-range) is just about the biggest you'll be able to fit both in width and depth without having to make significant modifications to the door and/or door card. You'll need to get moderately creative with your mount, but nothing terrible.
I have some personal experience here (Charliekwin's 2007 G35 Sedan build log - Page 4 - Car Audio | DiyMobileAudio.com | Car Stereo Forum).

Blaze the speaker that I was wanting to install is PHD - Speakers - Model AF 4.1 -, however after spending sometime with a fabricator, the way it would take away from the interior to get these deployed is not worth it.
So I am going to move on to a smaller mid that would fit in the factory positions with limited motification.
