G37 w/ Navi Bluetooth Audio
Has anyone else experienced bluetooth audio dropouts and or full disconnects? I have a 2010 G37 w/ Navi and pretty much every day on my way to/from work I stream either Pandora or iHeart Radio from my iPhone to my car via bluetooth. And sure enough, once or twice per drive, the audio either skips a couple of seconds or flat out drops the connection to the phone.
When the connection is fully dropped, the solution is to go to settings->bluetooth and turn bluetooth off then back on through the Navi touchscreen.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or should I take the car in for a checkup?

Dead zone would explain skipping or occasional dropouts. My main concern is the full connection drop / bluetooth lockout that requires me to come to a full stop so I can access the bluetooth settings page on the nav screen and cycle power to the bluetooth connection on the car.
All in all, there are really 3 types of drops that I have seen:
1. Drops due to lost internet connection or buffer under runs-- all connectivity is still good but there is simply nothing to stream since the internet is momentarily down
2. Drops or skips not due to internet dropout -- this is more rare but still happens and internet buffer is there but the bluetooth connection somehow can't keep up
3. Full bluetooth connection drop - this is the worst of all 3 and is where the car drops the phone and says "Connecting to (Insert phone name).." until I turn bluetooth off then back on on the car. (turning bluetooth off then back on on the phone does not work)

Has the bluetooth dropped while on a call? Can you try someone else's phone and stream and see if the connection drops? Also if it is only doing this while streaming, connect the phone via usb and not run down the battery. You also get better sound quality via usb.
The iPhone will drop a bluetooth connection if the battery is at 20% or 25% to conserve the battery so you can make phone calls in case of an emergency. Also do you have the latest OS updates for the phone?

No it never happens on a call. It seems to happen regardless of battery charge and yes I do have the latest iOS update. I've tried the USB cable which works all the time but I'd like to find out if this is normal behavior for the 2010 G37 or if there is something faulty with my bluetooth chip.

I do occasionally get a hiccup in my bluetooth in my 2010 sedan as well. In my experience, it is easier to turn the blue tooth off and on from your iPhone to reset the connection by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.
