Hey Gio, "for the game"? Do you mean game room or for games? If it's for PS3, 4, Xbox I'd consider a 240hrz TV or at least 120 at a minimum. Otherwise you'll could end up getting jaggies where the pixels have trouble coming out clear on fast moving objects. Something to think about.
If your a Costco member this 55" Samsung is going for $899. It comes with a 2 year warranty plus if you don't like it you can return it within 90 days.

Hz is a marketing gimmick, I read extensively about TVs after finally pulling the trigger on a Sony W900A. For me, it was for games and movie quality. However, I think I should return the TV. I do LOVE the TV, but I had a Vizio beforehand and it got the same job done at a fraction of the price. So now I have to end up selling it on either CL or eBay.

I've got a 60" Samsung LED, 55" Sony LED and a 42 Panasonic Plasma. All are 240hz on up.
I think the 50" Samsung LED you listed is a good deal. Of the three I have the Samsung which to me produces the best picture.
Once you get it,if you don't want to pay someone to calibrate for you, buy the Disney Wow bluray calibration disc. Make sure to turn off all the auto pre-sets too. Otherwise you'll get the "soap opera" effect. If you like that look then leave them on.
I'm by no means a TV expert but I've done a lot of research and have a lot of experience.
GL Gio.

Plasma TVs consume too much energy. Go with LED if you can and Hz is very important. I have a first gen Samsung running at 60hz and a new LG running at 120 Hz and you can see the difference when you're watching sports.

Just an FYI for those of you stuck on higher hz ratings...not one of your actual inputs run higher than 60hz (yes even HDMI). HD from a sat or cable provider, ps3 or anything doesn't run any higher than 60. With that said for faster framing rates 120 and 240 IS better. But I think for most people and their needs 120hz is perfectly fine. That will help cut some cost and give you great picture performance. Until the media industry creates an actual 120hz or higher signal rate I won't spend the extra money just so I can say I have a 240hz tv seeing as it will look pretty much the same as my Toshiba 120.
