Here are the pictures of the Sub Box.
Very pleased with the fit. very snug. just trying to figure out how to get it to stay in place. dont want to drill holes in it to mount it.

The link expired...but is this the $250 eBay box? Do you need to mount it or is it snug enough to stay in place? If not...Velcro strips maybe?

yes it is the same one as the link. the boxes are made to order. contact the seller through ebay and you can buy outside of ebay and get it cheaper from him.
he suggested using Velcro to keep the box in place.

From: Framingham Ma,
I think the stock system is perfect ! Just enough bass and the miss and highs are very clear , you don't want the bass to over power the rest of the sounds .
BTW the Q's system is better and has heavier bass , has like 12 speakers !

its excellent for me. I had two 12"s subwoofers on my previous SUV and I don't feel a need to improve my G's stock Bose system.

Lets not start bashing each other here... this thread was created for people that are not satisfied with the stock bose and want a little extra bass and see what options they have....
it comes down to personal preference...

For those of you who are looking for an inexpensive option to add some bass to your G, I'd go with this sub from JL. I've used this in a Mini Cooper in the past and it added more than enough bass for the vehicle's Harman Kardon system.

10TW3-D4 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - TW3 - JL Audio

I'm going to reach out to the seller of those custom enclosures and see if they can make one that isn't as deep, as this subwoofer only needs 1/2 cu ft of airspace. It's great a great space saving option as well (as long as you can find the right box, or custom enclosure).

10W6v2 or the newer v3 is highly recommended as a side firing sub that sits on the driver or passenger side inside your trunk.

I had a 10w6v2 before I switched to the TW3. Excellent equipment! I'd recommend anything from JL

How did you integrate an aftermarket sub into the factory setup?
