Yeah, I don't even have a folder setup and it works fine so I don't think it matters either. I might set one up eventually but I figure just run all songs at random and keep it moving

I have a 16GB flashdrive and unfortunately it will not play any of my music. I currently have them setup in folders. Any thoughts?

What format are you using?

Mp3?
Wma?
Flac?

Pretty sure this car will only read mp3 and wma

So I loaded my mp3s in the same format that it is saved to the computer and my android. Every artist has a folder in the root of the 32gb sandisc mini cruise.
And every album has a folder within the artist's folder. Then the songs sit on the third level down if you feel me.

I actually found the folder structure to br displayed in the OM.

I plugged in my minicruze with about 15gb of music and it spun right up.
I am disappointed that there is not a pause button or that the current song doesnt keep playing while you are advancing folders and searching.

This subtle but useful feature or lack of will most likely cause me to use the Bluetooth streaming off my droid instead of usb or musicbox...
I mean Even the bluetooth interface has a pause button but usb ,disc ,and musicbox do not

the best option is an ipod in these cars as much as I hate to say it

you get album artwork, the ability to search when a song is playing, and the layout is faster.

I use the USB when I have recently downloaded a ton of new music

Nothing like bumping an old thread...

Just for those who don't know; folder and file structures mean nothing to the car for USB drives. You can organize all you want, but the file list will appear in the car in file-write order...in other words, whatever the WRITE SEQUENCE is of the files is how the songs will display in the car's AUX list.

If you copy ZULU before ABBA, ZULU will appear first. Bottom line: copy the files to your USB drive in the order that you want them to appear in the car's file list.

I usually just use my ipod mini or HTC one via Bluetooth. I'm going to give the thumb drive a try. What about videos? Which format(s) will work in our systems? Wav and mp4 are no goes.
