How to Fully Disconnect Reverse Camera?

Since I have an aftermarket trunk without the reverse camera cutout I get the trajectory lines on a black screen when the car is in reverse. Is there any way to disconnect the reverse sensor without affecting the reverse lights so my display will just stay on the current screen without going black? 2008 G37S, Nav, 6MT.

Your welcome

I think you can do it in there... but be careful because i believe that's like administrator mode on a computer and you can mess some stuff up.

Judging by the video, it doesn't look like there's a way to turn off the camera feature. I'll check later today when I'm in the car.

The guy turned his off in the video

What are you talking about he shut his off in the video. He changed it to the car sonar view. He was in reverse and no camera or reverse lines.

I'm aware of that but I don't think you fully understand what the OP was asking.

He has an 08, so no sonar feature. He wants the display to stay on the current screen (most likely tuner stations or song list) without the screen changing or going out. I could be wrong but I would assume that since he doesn't have the same reverse features as the newer model Gs, his screen will probably go black with or without lines.

Brainchild is correct. I just went into the hidden settings this morning and there are no options to turn the camera or lines off. The only camera setting I can fiddle with is the line adjustments. I went though every options and couldnt find any way to turn off the camera and/or lines so im stuck with the "ghost" screen in reverse.
