Upgrading nav map to Middle East
My car is a US spec car with Nav, with US maps. But it's here (with me) in the Middle East.
The dealer wants $560 to install the Middle East map package.
Is there any way that I can do this myself?
Regards

Here's the North American Map update site: Infiniti Navigation Center - Home
My guess is that they will have one for the Middle East as well. The maps are stored on a HDD, and on the earlier years the dealer had to do the update. I want to say this changed in 2010-11?
This thread has a lot of useful info on the process as it appears it's pretty controlled these days because of piracy: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...tion-maps.html
Paying over $500 to have this done would make me sick.

The map upgrade is $249
Looks like the dealer charges $150 or so in NA for this; for a total of $400
So the $560 I would pay locally is high, but not completely insane.
I have a Garmin which I have used when I travel to Europe and the Philippines. I don't use it locally; and I don't think that I would use the navigation in the G37 if I had it. So I don't think I'll go down this path, for now. But it's good information to have!!
