Audio Control LCQ-1

Anyone using this to convert the signal from the Bose/Nav unit to your aftermarket amps? If so, whats your opinion of the LCQ-1 and the overall sound quality?

My preliminary plan is a LCQ-1 RTA'd feeding to a JL HD600/4 and a JL 750/1 or 1200/1. Components and subs are still up for debate.

I have it installed and am quite happy with it. It allows for custom tuning the equalization to each front/rear/sub channels. It outputs up to 9V for a nice clean signal. With the voltage that high you can run your amp gain pretty low and still get incredible sound.

I have the LCQ-1 outputting to a Alpine 50Wx4 amp (nothing special) and it sounds great. All of the factory speakers have been replaced with aftermarket so that is a requirement for better sound as well.

You will not be disappointed with the LCQ-1, it is the best "bang for buck" you can get with a sound processor.

Hope this helps your decision?

I will agree with jam about it being a great bang for your buck solution.

If you like to tweak your set up and really want to take full control a sound processor like an Audison bit ten, rockford 3sixty, or the zapco DSP are all great choices and really make any set up sound its best.

Of course its all dependent on your budget, tastes, and skill.
Higher end processors are usually $400+ and if you dont know how to install them they can cost hundreds to get installed and tune.
