Compact Flash Read Errors

Hi,

I just got a compact flash adapter for my 2009 G37. Its 8gb and I have less than 500 songs. When I stick the drive in the slot I get a read error. Any clue how to fix it? I just bought the car and first time trying the slot.

Thanks/

Adapter? Think thats your problem there. Adapters tend to be iffy with these cars. Get yourself an actual compact flash card.

Yeah, its a microsd to cf adapter, but it should work the same, just like a microsd to sd adapter works in sd devices

it works fine in my pc, is there a folder structure requirement? card is fat32, if I have non mp3 files wouldnt it just ignore them?

Should this card work:

Just make sure its a type 1 compact flash card and you're set.

You were 100% correct! Bought the 4gb it works - music sounds great - however, really disappointed in the functionality - no organization of music or search functionality whatsoever. I do not put the music in folders but I am wondering if that would help. Strange that its finicky about the adapter I tried originally, which worked fine in the compact flash slot of my pc.

Also I thought there was a way to copy the mp3s to the hard drive?

I bought an adapter also from amazon its a compact flash to SD and whenever I install the card in, the music stop every 30 second, but I've read somewhere that some guys have no problem with the adapter.
