Carlink Remote Starter

here on many fronts... migrating from an Acura CL-S 6MT to 2013 G37x aaaand this is my first post. Anyway, on to the topic... Does anybody have experience with Carlink.com and its remote starter application? I used the "search" function but got nothing. My dealer offers it but I have never heard it. Thanks in advance.

carlink is an audiovox brand. Audiovox is a big company, however not exactly known for being the highest quality technology. I would check into the warranty of the parts & labor, make sure it is AT LEAST a year warranty. I shouldnt beat around the bush, most people share my opinion that audiovox is crap.

Grazrootz,
I do remember their cellphones being less than stellar. Thanks for the reminder. My hope was this would've been more popular as I'd love to have a remote starter but oh well... thanks

they dont say anything about a warranty on the website. I would be wary of that. Im sure you can shop around and look at some reviews online. I have heard its a good idea to stay away from the chain stores for the install (bestbuy)

a few years ago my wife bought me remote start for my car.

She went all out and got the highest available package they had at the time.
I cant remember which it was but it was a Viper with display on the remote and all the bells and whistles.

I cringed when I saw that she had purchased it at best buy.

Amazingly the guy knew his stuff and my car was ready in 3-4 hours.

point is...not every thing you read online is true and most reviews online are not positive.

If you have a positive experience you just go on about your day. If its negative. then you take it online and bash

Congrats! I did the same thing, I migrated from an Acura CL-s to a G37xs!

Do a Firstech alarm with remote start with an idatalink module and a Drone, thats what i did to my 2012 G37XS, works like a charm, let me know if you need some more details.
