Replacing stock antenna to case type

Hi guys, has anyone replaced their stock antenna on the boot cover to the casing and antenna assembly used by the 370z?
I just got my 2010 vert and saw someone on ebay selling it for $50 for both cover and antenna base. Is it worth the money or better to keep it stock?

Woops, used the search function and found the answer. Just wondering if the spoiler is necessary or is it just a quick swop of the antennae though.

Spoiler is necessary because that's where the AM/FM antenna gets relocated to. The SAT antenna is in the clam shell than remains in the trunk lid.

Hit up ImStricken here - he sells the spoilers in expensively and is a good guy. Tell him that I sent you!

PS - welcome & good luck with your new ride!

Thanks! I will pm him and let him know. I just relocated to the US and am still in the midst of waiting for my paypal account to be verified. Btw, does this solve any issues with sat radio cutting off intermittently (even with clear skies driving on the open freeway)? I didn't have this problem with my rental Dodge avenger.
