Hi, first time poster here. I've been looking through the MyG37 forums to find out how to retrofit my Journey G37 Sedan (Bose system but no Navi) with a rear backup camera. I had hoped that I could use the OEM camera, found one on eBay and picked up the chrome trunk lid from a local salvage yard to make it look stock.
I just found out today while disassembling the console and trunk that the wiring harness in the trunk only has two wires (Green/Black) at Pin 1 & 4. According to the 2008 and 2010 Infiniti Service Manuals (couldn't find the 2009), the wiring harness should have 3 cables (plus shield) - configuration is 1 Camera On Signal/ 2 GND/ 3 Camera Image Signal/ 4 Shield. I pulled the black tape pretty far to make sure the wiring wasn't just cut short but it doesn't exist. My assumption is that the power for the camera and shield are available, but the image and ground are not.
I'm posting this just in case someone searches because they wanted to do the same thing I did. I didn't want to run a wire from the trunk to the AV control unit but it looks like the 2009 Journey/Bose doesn't have the necessary wiring in the harness.

Welcome. I know from messing around with my rear view camera that there is 4 wires for the rear view..Im assuming that it would be power signal, ground signal, image signal, and maybe the shield.
Did you refer to the nicoclub.com/fsm site?

Thanks for your help, i've downloaded all the documents in the 2010 folder just in case.
So far I have everything except the nav antenna, need to find me one of those. I bought the entire dash wiring harness from a 2010 with nav and bose stereo (waiting for it to come), it looks like quite the rats nest of wires in the pictures, i can't tell if the nav antenna is in there anywhere so i'm going to wait and see before i go buy one (still need to find a part number)
So just so i understand the way you did it, rather than replace the entire dash wiring (you would have to completely rip apart the dash) you took the connectors from the donner cars dash wiring and spliced them into the existing wiring? cutt off non nav connectors and put on nav ones?
Thanks, pic below of wiring that is on its way

My setup will be a little different then the way you did it i believe because i'm going from non-nav with bose, to nav with bose....i believe you went from non-nav without bose to nav with bose

But I seen that harness on eBay. Hopefully you got a good deal with it
Heres what I did...since you have all of the harness...Why don't you play match up...plug all the harness into the av unit. You can then find the GPS antenna...It should look lika a "gray square"...looks like the RGB brown square connector...then follow it till you find a "black square box" the black square box is your GPS antenna. it appropriately 2-3" by 2-3".
Or call up infiniti parts and ask them to send you a copy of the printed part...its gonna be black and white.

i got it for 170 shipped, they were asking 225 shipped. more than i wanted to pay but i'll be much happier with the right connectors. My setup is the following,
2012 G37 car with factory bose and no navi
2011 G37 all navigation parts, trims etc, bose with navi
2010 G37 dashing wiring harness with bose and navi
wish it was all 2012 but it was the best i could find

below are some pictures of the gps antenna that came off of a 2008, do you know if this is what yours looked like? on ebay everyone is calling the shark fin the GPS antenna which it is not, that is just the satellite radio antenna.
I meant to ask, did you ever get your satellite radio working?
