Help iPhone 5 problems
#18
just spoke to apple rep today and he said he got several calls about the iphone 5 regarding problems with bluetooth in certain auto models..it's been documented and they'll address in a future software update if need be..he also said it might be better to advise our auto dealers since they might have to update THEIR software for the bluetooth system on our cars! Everyone blames the other! Probably several months away from a fix if you ask me!

Anyone done the iOS update 6.01 that came out yesterday? It seemed to be mostly bug fixes. I'm wondering if it fixed this problem. I still have an iPhone 4 so no problems.

@jgrahamiii: great post, answering the phone from the handset is a work-around for the audio problem (connection is established but no mic or speaker input/output) and then selecting MY-CAR as the audio. DISCLAIMER: none of which is safe to do while driving

My 2010 G37x ( with NAV) has the same issue, Ininiti says Nissan is aware and working on it, maybe Apple is too ? In the meantime Infiniti bluetooth support suggested I try to connect the Iphone5 as an Audio Player and that may help ...until they come up with a fix. I haven't tried it yet.

I had the same problem with my G37x 2010. I tried, as recommended to pair the Iphone5 as a separate audio device, it worked once then went back to dropping incoming calls.
I heard that there is a Nissan update and brought the car to the dealer. They installed an AV unit update as per ITB11-040D. So far...after only one test it worked.
The dealer tried to tell me that Inifiniti/NIssan is still working with Apple to assure proper bluetooth connectivity. The dealer also mentioned a problem with the new Iphone5 cable's USB plug sticking in the cars USB port. I have not tried mine yet but just for everyone to be aware.

iPhone 5 bluetooth disconnect
I too have been having the bluetooth disconnect from the iPhone 5 through my 2010 G37. I have tried all the different "fixes" for the phone and the car to no avail. It has been 2 months now, I am beginning to wonder if it will ever be resolved by either Apple or Infiniti. It has been reported to Infiniti and Apple.
