Purchased mine 8/31/12
No music box but has the clock
Reminds me I have to set it back one hour
The USB port works great for both my 64k jump drive and my Ipod

DId u get a Navi car or non navi. I Had the music box in the 07 cause it was standard with the navi but when i got my 2010 it was in both Navi or Non, just nons had 2g instead of a 9. Maybe they discontinued it in the non navi since its extra but I assume its still standard in the NAVI models cause thats where the navigation info is also stored cause its actually a 40gb harddrive with 9 remaining for music. I use mine all the time and have over 200cds burned into it. I am awaiting the 2014 model with only 6 months left on my current lease. THat could be a make it or break it for me!

My 2013 is a navi car, and i do not have the Music Box. I had it in my 2010 and liked it, but was told that Infiniti did a study and since people are shying away from listening to CD's and just using their Ipods, Infiniti decided to do away with the Music Box feature from 2013 on.

Do you all utilize the music box functionality?

I use it. I will go on to Amazon and buy a CD at a cheaper price than what I could on iTunes, and just rip it to the hard drive, and delete the tracks I don't like. That way I'm not having to take my iPod in and out of my car and having to update it all the time.

interesting my co-workers 2013 has the clock and music box unless he doesn't know what model year he bought. I know my 2013 JX35 has the music box and my boss has a QX80 and she said she still had the music box on her 2016.

i recall that 2011 was the last prod year with music box, not sure where i read or if dealer mentioned to me, but that is the year i recall and actually it may be so for maximas as well...maybe all nissans/infiniti??.
I do use mine(11 sedan)MB, as sometimes i go to a used cd store here in town from time to time and buy one/few real cheap, burn them to box and delete the music i don't like/want. it actually provides the best sound quality(most times). i currently have over 100 songs , combo of cd and itune or some other source and barely a dent in the capacity, so it will hold quite a lot of music listening pleasure...too bad i cant download a movie to it and then have that there when needed... oh well works for music.
