iphone wont charge and play same time

i have an 2008 g37s coupe. i have the cable to play music and the sosche adapter but it still wont charge and play at the same time. anyone have any suggestions on what i need

I have the sosche adapter as well and it will charge and play at same time (iPhone 4 and 4s). The connections are the sosche adapter are not very good/tight. You might have a loose connection.

I have a Sosche Passport and it charges, but as was stated you need to make sure it's tightly connected. But if it's playing it should be charging. If you want mine I'll sell it cheap.
