Problem with ipod cord or system?

Hey guys as i was driving today and i plugged in my ipod, my left front speaker was not working. So i thought i messed with the settings; but everything was normal and started freaking out because i thought i needed new speakers. But when i put it back to radio it was fine and it only happens when i plug my ipod in. Do you think its the cord itself or the jack that plugs the cord in? Any help? I dont have a spare cord to know which one it is. And is the OEM ipod cord known for going bad?

Can't you just borrow one your friends ipod/iphone charger chords and test it out ? Simple.

My "11 didn't come with a chord so I am just using your regular apple USB. I don't know if this is applicable to other years though.

I depends on what year is the OPs G? If it's an 08/09 then he'll have to get the Nissan/ Infiniti cord to test

By the sound of the OPs post, I'd guess he'd have an 08/09. Just go to the dealer and buy a new one. If it works, that's was your problem, now it's fixed. If it doesn't work, then bring the cord back to the dealer, return it and go from there. (I'd test it in the parking lot)
