g37S and iphones - help!

looking for some help.

bought this adapter which says I can use it in my 2008 G37S to connect my iphone and play music from my iphone. I get it in the mail today and it looks exactly like that adapter that came with the car connected in the center console that works with my IPOD (but wont stay connected to my iphone) This new adapter connects to my phone, but wont stay connected either

Any body have any thing they use today including where they got it that works with an Iphone 4S in a 2008 G37S?

See link below for the one that I already bought:

I use a USB the same one from the charger and it's fine.. I have a 2011 though. Do you have a phone case on? Try to take it off and then see if it stays connected.

I use the cable that came with my car. It doesn't charge the newer generation iphones but I have an adapter for that. I once got an OEM cable from the dealership.

If you're having issues with the iPhone playing through your car, then I suggest you go to the dealer and buy a new cable. I had one go bad on me. Also, if you want your 4S to be able to charge, get an adapter. I have a Scosche I can sell you, Brand new, but the package has been opened. I have a 2008 and it plays and charges my iPhone 4S.

Yeah, mine came with the car and its a 08' plays my iPhone 4s but doesn't charge. I use my first generation iPod to play music and it charges. You can also jailbreak your idevice and download "noaccsplash" for ios 4 and up, ios 3 download "noaccessorysplash" to control your music through your device instead of the car.

I have the cable jive adapter. I had bought a scosche but it was hot to the touch after use. No issues with the cable jive. Same concept but no overheating. It's also just a little less bulky.

The OEM cable absolutely does NOT charge the iPhone 4 or 4S in the 08 models. It may connect and play, but it doesn't charge. It does charge older iPhones and iPods.

KAHBOOM, exactly which adapter do you have and does it lock into the phone? I have the Soche Passport because it doesn't lock and comes loose constantly. It's so annoying that I don't even use it.
