Side mirror Tilt down on Reverse

Side mirror Tilt down on Reverse
I had this feature on my previous vehicle, but didn't come with it on my 2012 G37XS sedan. I have all the options so I have the back up cam, but its hard to see in the back up cam, how close I am to the curb. Always scared I'm going to curb rash, I end up parking like this idiot like 40" from the curb now when parallel parking.
I am going to make a module to tilt down in reverse both side mirrors (like my bmw 3 series) and tilt back up once out of reverse, before I go wasting my time building this circuit, do any companies already make this module or has anyone done it already?
I'm just going to use 2 x PAC TR-7's to time it down to time latch pulse the motor going downwards when in reverse and then back up when nothing.

yeah the KP module is an affordable unit and i'm happy with mine. wasn't difficult to install either.
my big gripe with my G was that when i bought it there weren't any of the basic features that my "lower quality" acura had. i shouldn't have to install my own self-dimming mirror in a luxury car, that's just insane. i definitely couldn't live without the tilting mirror. i've learned to live without memory seats though. oh well....
edit: here's the link to the install thread i have posted on g35driver. it should be the same for your model, but as always just check the shop manual first.

^^^^ up to this year the TL didn't have electric tilt and telescoping steering wheel. I'd rather have that than the tilt mirrors, although I do miss them from my bimmer.

Tilting mirrors are more useful than the steering wheel. Most people NEVER change their wheel once it's set. The mirrors are always changed and a great help anytime you back up.

Well I had a 2002 TL S-type. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but the fact is Acura was often labelled as an "entry level" luxury car at the time, which is why I facetiously said it as "lower quality". I don't believe it was lower quality. It was more bang for the buck for sure though.

I went the low-tech route and used blind spot mirrors instead. It helps with blind spots primarily (i have two child seats in the back that essentially blocks my rear-view), with the unintended benefit of being able to see all the way to the ground and curb when the car is parked next to one.

Cop, these are the ones -- from Autozone. I went with the blue-tinted ones since these type of mirrors reflect more light due to the natural curvature. I didn't want any added glare from it at night.

Just received my order from KP technologies today. Canadian buyers beware, they ship via UPS ground.
I paid $100 for 2 modules (1 for each mirror)
$20 for shipping
$44 for UPS Brokerage
$12 duties (tax)
Shipping/Duties cost me a total of $80!!!! for a $100 module.
just advice, if you ever receive shipments from UPS from outside of Canada, get them to ship UPS Express Saver, as UPS includes brokerage in Express service.
