Wiring a V1

Hey I just bought a valentine v1 radar detector and was wondering how you guys wired and placed everything in the car? I would like the most concealed look because I drive through DC/VA where its illegal to use one. I also bought the concealed display. I'm open to any suggestions (hard wiring etc) and any tips on how to set up the actually radar unit.

Ace,

Were you able to find any information on this? I am looking at scooping up a concealed unit/laser jammer myself.

Did some searching and found this guide done on the Z. Since our cars are pretty similar im going to try this this weekend. Since I will use the concealed display I have to hard wire it because things like invisicord won't work with the concealed display. These rear view mirror applications only work to wire a single radar detector. I want the V1 radar detector above the rear view mirror for maximum concealment and detection ability. I'm planning to run the concealed display down the drivers side of the windshield (tucked into the headliner) and place it using double sided tape on the far left (near that vent). This is because lets say I get pulled over in VA/DC the police officer (hopefully!) won't notice neither the radar unit up above or the concealed display hidden on the far left. Here's the link to the DIY on the Z.

I also recommend a V1 valentine because I've been playing with it for a few days at it works great!

If our coupes had the middle headrest, I would love to do this to my car with this stealth installation.

The V1 gets pretty warm during operation, so keep that in mind.

Are you going to mount ABOVE the mirror? The link shows the standard placement below the mirror

They use a mount that attaches to the rear view mirror. Since I go to DC/VA a lot (where it is illegal to have one) I want as much of a stealth look as possible JUST IN CASE I get pulled over. I'm going to mount in above the mirror. Also the v1 is much more effective when mounted higher up

I've got the V1 and I'm mounting the concealed display in the ashtray (6MT). Looks like a perfect fit.
