Hi,
One thing you can do is to call Sirius and tell them you think their service is a rip off when internet radio is better and available for free. If you can convince them that you can use your phone to provide 100x their service for free, they will give you a real good deal. I had Sirius for my Saab for 5 years and I paid an average of $24.50/year for it. Financially, they are really on shaky ground and they would rather take your $25/year than have you just drop them. Just say "sorry, it won't work for me" until you get a price that is reasonable to you. $25/yr seems reasonable to me just for Howard and Fox news.

Once you have it, you can't really go without it. I pay $78/year (or around that). When you're year is about to expire, call them and tell them you got a mailer saying to renew for a 50% off for the year. Works everytime - I've been doing it for 3 years now.

The best I could do this last go around was $58 for 6 months, but that included traffic and weather. With just standard channels, $25.00 for 6 months. I never have had an offer of $25 a year. The one vehicle I tried get $25 a year on, they went ahead and just closed my account for me.

I finally had to pay them after 2 years of getting it for free somehow. This also coincided with trading my old Toyota in for a new car for my wife. So I had to call and ask them to transfer the subscription from the car I no longer had to my G. Only took 4 phone calls, 2 hours on the phone and a chat session to get it done. These people intentionally drop your call if you try to cancel. Google it, there's a whole world of people out there who have had the same experience. Anyways, I finally got 6 months for $25 and made them bill me by mail so they don't get my bank info.

I do not see you getting it for $25 for a year. I have been around so many forums searching for the best price and the lower $70s was the best I saw.
They also are not on that shaky of a ground as Yahoo just had an article that this year was their best ever in subscriptions. Im on a 6 months for $25 deal right now. Call or go online and tell them you want that deal. They also have a free trial for the next two weeks for inactive radios.

SiriusXM is well worth it. The plans are pretty good, I paid $43 for a year without traffic. As far as Internet option, I was quoted $10/month plus the regular subscription....big skip, this used to cost around $3 per month.
Radio and traffic roughly $18 to $20/month.

I had it for a few years and canceled it. I was always flipping through stations that weren't playing anything I wanted. I know many people that still love it though.
I'm now planning on spending the 80/year on MP3s from Amazon/iTunes and build a bigger library.

i subscribed to sirius just for howard. ive tried the music stations and they are ok. if your looking to get sirius for music i would pass and use pandora/grooveshark/spotify/etc. i guess it would all depend on what your music tastes are.
i do listen to the NFL channel sometimes too. but once howard leaves sirius, my subscription to sirius is done.

So you lied, cheated and tried to deceive a company and they took action against you and you seem surprised? I wasn't going to comment when the "try $25" was first posted but it amazes me how we (not all) as humans see nothing wrong with lying, cheating and general dishonesty.

I have the $25 for 6 months and I listen to 2 stations total....the 6 months are up in a couple of weeks and Im really thinking about not re-signing for another 6 months.
Its not that expensive but if you dont use it its not worth it. I find myself scrolling up/down and not finding what I want to listen to.
Somehow I started listening to pandora now. I use the audio connection.
I guess Its like having netflix and going to redbox for the movie you want
