Transfer sirius toxm radio?

I just got a 2012 G37XS and it says XM for radio. In the car that I trades in I had Sirius, which has about 2/3 months left on its 1 year subscription. Now my question is will I be able to transfer this over to the new car since XM and Sirius are the same company now? Or do I have to get a new subscription through XM?

Yeah you'll have to create a new account through XM. When you call them, they will cancel your Sirius account and create an XM account for you. They may try to charge you for this as well, but I got them to wave the fee. Didn't make sense to charge someone to transfer their accounts.

When I did it I got a credit for the remainder of my Sirius subscription. I already had XM in another car, so I just added the G37 on to that acct. No fee involved. I actually prefer the programming on XM.

Yes. I had Sirius radio in the truck I traded in to get my G. When I switched it over I got them to waive the fee but I had to get XM with the best of Sirius so I could continue listening to Howard.

I have a lifetime Sirius sub and want to transfer to my 2010 G37 that has XM radio. What hardware do I have to buy?

The head unit is XM so there is nothing that can be bought. You will have to call Sirius and see if they will transfer your lifetime sub to this XM radio

Bend over and hold your ankles because you don't know what you are in for.

You will end up paying more and getting less in the process.

Do you listen to Howard. That costs extra.
Want XM Traffic? That costs extra also.
Want XM Weather alerts? That costs extra.
Internet access? Costs extra.
Access on a home theatre is not the same as having access on a laptop according to XM tech support. Costs extra.
The motherfvckers are using the same playbook that the airlines now use.
And if you ever tuned to CNBC in the afternoon and saw stock quotes and major averages scroll across your Sirius display you won't see that on XM either.

I just did this last week. I had 11 months(sirius) left on my avalon and transfered to G37(XM) for 18 bucks. Channels are identical. Funny thing is they charge you a 15 transfer fee then a 3 dollar billing fee which I thought was bull****...
