^^ Maybe to reduce costs. If GVIF is the equivalent of HDMI, imagine the cost of a 20ft HDMI cable against its RCA counterpart. Infiniti probably thought, as mentioned before, why using such high quality cabling on a system that will be used for a few seconds at the time? Although, I always thought it'd be kinda cool to be able to just have the camera output display on the screen all the time, as an option. Also, the other day at the dealer, I noticed the new JX has a front facing camera mounted on the grill. Now that is a cool feature!

if you guys thing that our backup camera quality sucks then you haven't droven an audi. A few days ago I test drove the A7, awesome car and high quality nav screen but the backup camera was as bad as my 2006 nissan Armada. Its guidance lines are slow acting and the overall quality plain sucks. Its all pixelated
