ISSUES WITH SUBS (JL W7s)

Hello, I have a 10 inch JL W7 sub with a JL amp and i dont get the same pound as I did when I had my other car, and since on a 2010 g37x sedan it doesnt give the option on the audio menu for the subwoofer control and only a bass control, I want to know is there a way to add this feature or anyway around this????

Run a bass controller from the amp to the center console? I intend on doing that and mounting the dial in the center blank, between the seat warmers.

Yeah I installed a "bass ****" in my center console that is connected directly to the amp. The stock audio controls leave quite a bit to be desired when dealing with an aftermarket sub/amp setup.

i installed the bass **** and even when i turn it to max, it still doesnt make a big effect, there is a slight increase but not as you would think it should be. would you recommend any other ways to help this? would a cleansweep work? and no i dont have aftermarket speakers just stock!

I turned it up to a reasonable level and it still doesnt have that pound that you would expect from a W7!

Your amp is probablyy under powered then. If you have a nice amp then you would need to check the installation. Wire Gauge, grounds, connections to amp, connection to sub, how the amp was tapped into the stock system.
