Updating Navigation

Go to this Nissan website. They will charge you $149 and give you a code. Take it to an Infiniti dealer who will install the upgrade on your hard disk and charge you another $100-150 more.

Really, you guys complain that updates like this don't cost what they would on an Elantra - did you forget that you bought a highline car? They cost more. Parts cost more. You don't seem to howl when you willingly pay $1500 for an exhaust that would cost $750 for a Dodge Challenger. If spending more on an update than what a cheap Garmin costs is so distasteful, why not buy a Kia Optima next time.

My Infiniti dealer (Crossroads in Raleigh) quoted me at $60 for installation. So $210 is better than $300, still pretty ridiculous though. It's too bad we don't have SatNav that updates every time it's connected.

for 200+ it is ridiculous for just an updated map. If the older models got the weather and restaurant stuff then it would be worth it. I know where im going most of the time so its not a big deal for me. ill eventually get it done just not yet.

If you are finding many errors in the area you use the gps/navigation then the upgrade is probably worth it. If you want the update just for the sake of having updated POI's, then invest in a smartphone instead
