Sub and amp installed
Finally gOt my insurance check for the total loss of my truck and hit up my stereo guy to install my sub and amp into my new G37 sedan and I must say it sounds amazing. We are gonna build a custom box and have the port go through the deck lid where the factory Bose sub goes, but for now we just installed it as is.
We used a high-end Hi/Lo converter from ARC called the LC2i: http://www.audiocontrol.com/t34/1761...l----LC2i.html
Its a MTX 9500 series DVC 12 with the MTX box running a MTX 1501D amp, also has the Hi/Lo dial in between the seat warmer *****.

Thanks bud! It actually sounds really nice. I mean my last setup in my truck was AMAZING, but this is good, im happy for now, its a good start. Next step is to build a custom box with the port going out of sub hole in the back, but also so i can still use my truck because now its a bit crowded. hehe. I put my old components, amps and deck in the wife's truck so hers sounds pretty nice too. Win Win

Well I don't have anything to compare it to for a "difference", but it does sound great as if I had an aftermarket deck with high volt outputs. I'm sure if I just went the cheap Hi/Lo converter route it wouldn't sound nearly as good especially with the way this Bose system is designed (eq and adjustments done at the amp level not the deck, etc).

Bass/Treble adjustments at least are done at the deck. The Bose amp does do some terrible sound EQing though (seriously gross) but at least the signal coming from the deck to the AMP inputs is a super clean (and I mean clean) unclipped 0-4V.
Keep us posted how the rest of the install goes.
