New iPod Nano not resuming when starting car
I had a 1st generation iPod Nano which was recalled due to battery issues. Apple replaced it with a new (current generation) Nano, which seemed like a fantastic upgrade, but when I get in the car, it won't start playing until I either unplug/replug the cable or hit the power button on the iPod.
With the cable/iPod in the center console, this is a real pita.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations on how to get it to automatically resume playing when I start the car?
This is in a 2009 G37x Coupe with Premium/Nav.

The iPod is too new for the '09. I'm having the same issues but with the iPhone 4. Gotta connect it and reconnect it to get it going. Has something to do with the software and that god damn genius idea of an oem plug.
My fix? Had a first gen iPod classic that I loaded with 25g of music and I just keep that going. Doesn't seem to have a problem with that.

I bought a 1st generation iPod Touch from someone on Craigslist for $50 that appears to be working perfectly. I should be able to sell the new one that doesn't work for more than that, so I guess I'll end up making a few bucks, but I have to deal with selling the one that isn't compatible...

probably the wrong cable. My iPhone 4 will connect and play music, but it won't charge.
When I bought a cable, the vendor had two listed, the one that said it was G37 compatible was more expensive, and I decided not to chance it...
