Help .DS files show up in Music Box

.DS files show up in Music Box
I just got a G37x with the 9GB Music Box. I copied some .mp3s in folders from my MacBook to a thumb drive with MS-DOS FAT format. The Music Box displayed the list of folders reasonably well, but for every mp3, it showed a .DS_File with the same title as the song. I think that these files are used by Apple OS for storing window display information. Music Box treats them as unplayable music files. When the contents of the thumb drive are displayed on a Mac, the .DS files are either not there or hidden.
If anyone has had this problem or or could suggest a way to prevent this from happening, please let me know? Would formatting the drive with Apple's OS Extended Journaled help?

It's 100% the hidden files that the Mac OS uses to store metadata. I'm not sure if you can copy files to the thumbdrive without the .DS files or find a way to hide them on the Infiniti.

Nope, changing the format won't help. LTB is correct, these files are created by OS X to store extra metadata that OS X uses to display extra information about files within a directory, such as the thumbnail images of pictures inside a folder. They can be deleted without harming anything; worst that will happen is OS X will recreate them as it needs to. Here's a link to a program that will remove them for you. Mind you, I've never used this software, but it should be just fine:
