Nav voice command questions

I love my g37 but have some questions coming from an Acura TL I am curious if I am able to do similar.

"Drive Home?"

"Find nearest Chinese Restaurant"

"Drive To: (name in phone book) "

Also, I have not been able to get my contacts from my Blackberry or iPhone to load into the phone Bluetooth phone settings, any idea what I am doing wrong?

Once phone book is loaded, then can I say "Dial Stacy?"

Thanks,

Shane

You haven’t said what year G37 you have because nav commands do vary. But on my ’08 you can go to Info>Voice Recognition>Command List, and it will display the full list of commands by category.

For example, the command “Destination Home” will take you home if it’s in your address book.
“Destination Nearby (POI Category)” will give you a list of restaurants. I don’t think it will give you Chinese restaurants though.
“Destination (voice tag) will send you to an entry in your address book for which you’ve established a voice tag.

I’m unable to answer your other questions on bluetooth issues.

The thread below may be of some help even though the list mentioned in post #2 is no longer available. There is a list you can get in post #62 but somehow it includes no navigation commands.

Keep in mind that many voice commands were removed from later ‘08’s, such as those involving radio and climate control. This is discussed in post #49.

I am trying to sync my contacts... on my Dash in bluetooth settings I see it says my Pin Code is 1234 on my device, but nothing pops up on my Blackberry or iPhone in bluetooth, any thoughts?

I have them both paired and I can make and receive calls, but can not get my phonebook to upload. any suggestions?

Do you have it set to automatically download the phonebook in the nav's bluetooth settings?

I also have the new iphone. No luck. I don't believe it will work. It pisses me off to have to manually add them.
