iPhone 4 not always connecting via Bluetooth

My iPhone 4 sometimes connects to the car, and sometimes it doesn't. If It's not connected, and I reboot the phone, it will connect as soon as it boots up.

Has anyone had this problem? I'm wondering if there's an issue with my phone.

Also, does anyone know of a way to skip the voice prompts in a 2009x w/Nav? Having to wait for it to finish speaking to answer each voice prompt is annoying. In 2010+, I think you can hit the voice button again while it it talking to skip the prompt, but that doesn't appear to work in my car.

It happens rather randomly on ocassion. No biggie. Turn Bluetooth on your phone off for a few seconds then on again and the car should discover it.

Same issue here. What I do is just go into the bluetooth settings on the iPhone and connect to MY-CAR manually.

when the phone is in my pants pocket and I'm driving, reconnecting while it's ringing isn't an option... :/

Neither is getting it out of my pocket while in the car for that matter. I'm 6' 1", and not that flexible...

Then you may want to glance at the screen when you start your car to see if it's connected before taking off.

I have a Bel STI with invisicord..... My 4S connect immediatly after the car starts up!! Faster than my 3gs. But If Ive notice the same thing connect, then it disconnects!! when my Radar Detector starts up!! My only theory, is the radar detector!!

Wow, strange. I absolutely never have an issue with my iphone 4 connecting to the car. I also have a Cobra iRadar, and it always successfully connects to that and the car.

What version of iOS are you running? I can say for sure that iOS 5 works perfectly in my car. Even the new AVRCP 1.4 bluetooth profile support.
