When I was buying my 08 g37 non-nav, the seller showed me a function where he tuned into XM and then added the song that was currently playing to a favorites list. He told me that when a song is added to this list, XM would alert you when the song is playing one of the stations so that you could tune into it. I wasn't really paying attention to him at the time because I was busy checking the rest of the car out.

Does anyone know how to do this or did I get punked?

no, you did not get punked, it is an option on the G (well, at least on my 10 model).
I forgot the process on how to do it, but when I get in my car I will note it and let you know. You can fav an artist or song, and when either the artist or song is playing that you faved; you get an alert saying weather or not you would like to Tune to that specific station playing your fav.

that "favorites" feature is ONLY available for 2010+ models.............2008 does not have it.

wow i have a 2010 and didn't even know about this feature...ha! how's it done? and is it only for navs?

only for 2010+ G's equipped with Nav


click on Menu on the bottom left of the screen, then favorite artists and songs, top turn on Alert....and select 10 artists, or 10 songs.....the song must be playing at that time when you're selecting.
