So just got my g, got the iPad hooked up and I notice the inside jacks also include an yellow video port, does this play video. I have a 08 no navi model this would be playin thru the aux screen?? Seen connecting wire for 40$ for iPod devices if video does work.

 

It will only work if your ipad is jailbroken and you have installed an app called 'display out'. The Apple video cable is necessary. Additionally this will only work when the vehicle is in park unless you use google.

 

Yeh I tried but didn't work with the iPad guess I gotta jailbreak it, culd I use a DVD player than. My 2008 screen doesnt even look like it does video but hope it does would b cool

 

It plays video. I hooked it up to my iPhone and it plays videos from my photo gallery, I havent tried the jailbreaking and app yet but will do soon.

 

I have 08 g37 base model no navi, I plugged it up w my iPhone and iPod and all it said is video will resume once stopped I was parked lol

 

Mine isn't nav either so I took it apart and did the video bypass. It's pretty awesome! Unfortunately we're unable to discuss it here. Google video bypass and pm me if you any ?'s.

 

Car must be in park AND the e-brake engaged. The video display gets a speed sensor signal and the e brake signal.

I stream Netflix in my car with my iPhone from time to time so yes it works.

 

I wanted to add deal extreme has the knockoff apple cable for $19 shipped. Much better than $39. I have not used the cable myself but reviews are good on it. Pay close attention though because the cable that works with the iphone 4 is different than the cable that works with previous iphones. Same as the Apple factory cables.
