Does anyone know of any way to import a GPX file into the nav?
I'm trying to export some files from the Ultimate Drive app. They xport into GPX format which is a universal xml type of file that can be read by most GPS units.

 

TRANSFERRING INFORMATION TO/FROM
ADDRESS BOOK
The information of the stored home and
addresses can be exported and imported
using a USB memory device.
1. Insert a USB memory device and push
<SETTING>.
INFO:
Refer to the vehicle Owner’s Manual for the
location of the USB connector.
2. Highlight [Navigation] and push
<ENTER>.
3. Highlight [Address Book] and push
<ENTER>.
4. Highlight [Transfer Address Book] and
push <ENTER>.
5. Highlight [Download Address Book to
USB] or [Download Address Book from
USB] and push <ENTER>.

 

The files he is talking about are GPS files. I deal with these on my Garmins all the time both in mapping, tracking as well as geocaching. I have not gotten into the nav system in the G yet so I am just not sure how user friendly it would be with the GPX files. Maybe I will see tonight what I can do with it. Most cars I have dealt with in the past did not have a nav system that you could do much with GPX files. Thats the main reason I have never had a nav system before and used my Garmins instead.
