2008 G37 possible to upgrade to stock NAVI unit?

Hey, guys, I tried the search and did not get a lot of info. I have a 2008 G37S coupe with no NAV, my question is if its possible to get the navigation unit off ebay or such and install in my car. If so, is it the same for all years? Is it worth it and what exactly do I need besides the screen with buttons? Thank you in advance.

It's definitely possible. I upgraded my 2008 navigation to 2010 version. I've also added navigation to a non navi 2006 Infiniti Fx35. It's definitely not that difficult. It requires rearranging the wires and tapping into a few wires. I'm selling my 2008 navigation system. If you're interested, I can walk you through the process.

would upgrading to nav from a non-sav system include blueteeth functionality?

Bluetooth is built in with the Av unit, which is one big unit that controls radio, cd player, and navigation. So yes, Bluetooth function would also be added.

Modme, is there any way you'd be able to do a DIY on this for others? With the part numbers and wire taps you'd need? I'm assuming the antenna like is there connected to the shark fin, but as for power and compass and such...I'd like to do this myself in the future, but not finding any resources for it on here or g35driver.com.

Did you ever post all the parts and information required to see how this can be done? A step-by-step How To would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
