IOS5- Track info over bluetooth- 2010 G37 w/ nav
I've been reading that the new features of IOS5 announced last week by Apple includes the ability to stream song, artist, album info over bluetooth. Saw a video of it in action on youtube with a new toyota model.
IOS 5 will use AVRCP 1.3 to do this. Does anyone know if the 2010 G37 sedan w/ nav is able to support this?

I'm an iOS Dev and I have iOS on my iPod touch but have not tried the BT streaming. I'll check up on it. If true then awesome and if not then it probably needs to wait for the final release.

I can confirm that it does work!! I connected my iPad running IOS5 beta 2 and the track name, artist, and album showed up on the nav screen. Btw I have a 2011 G37 Journey with nav and premium package, and it is a second gen iPad. (I dont think that makes a difference tho)

One follow up question: Does it also work with apps like Pandora etc, or is it only the Ipod app?

I know this is an older thread but I figured I would bring it back rather than starting a new one. Upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS5 yesterday and nothing other than music (no info) was streaming bluetooth. Got something in the mail saying that I should bring my car to infiniti and they will do a free software upgrade because they inadvertently left iOS5 capabilities out of the 2010s. Anyway, I will probably try to get over to inifiti tomorrow and I'll let you guys know if it worked.

Upgraded to ios5. It is streaming with info displayed on my '11 coupe. Doesn't work with third party apps like spotify and pandora though, just the phone's playlist.

I will also note for other users, and this could be possible with iOS devices too. But drivesafe.ly has SMS reader app that works great over the BT system, so long as you are on the BT system. I'm sure it's old news, but I wanted to throw it out there for you iDevice users
