Skipping on ipod?

I have a 2011 G37S w/navi...I've got an ipod connected and it seems that it's skipping while playing songs (there's a slight pause, similar to what you would hear if somebody curses on the radio). I've tried other connectors and it still does the same thing. This only happens when it's connected via the ipod connector in the car. Anybody experience the same issue? Oh and it's an ipod nano 6G.

Is it only when you first plug it in to the car? I have the same issue when I immediately plug in my iPhone without waiting for it to connect with bluetooth.

The new nanos suck. Its probably the iPod not the car, or the connector.

No it only occurs after the ipod has been plugged in and has been playing.

Try this. I have had this issue too. I had a high quality belkin cable being used because it was black. It would skip and sometimes have static. I then switched to actuall iphone/ipod cable that came with the device and no skipping now.

I've actually tried both. I've used the Belkin and the stock ipod cable. I think I need to borrow a friends ipod to see if the same thing occurs.
