^...apparently? sounds like it's more of a reprogramming of the OE key fob.
then again, i guess you would need some sort of a receiver, wouldn't you? i'm as lost as you are...

I think from what I understand on mine it is 2 lock pulses within so many seconds on the CANBUS system.

Love it.

The dealer offered it as an option for me when I bought my 2010 G37x. I forget off hand what I paid for it. To start the car I have to hit the lock button 3 times on the factory remote.

Are you sure you want remote start in NYC? Have you ever thought of the possibility it will be gone by the time you come out of your house?

Once you get in the car you still have to put your foot on the brake and hit the start button, otherwise when you put the car in gear and hit the brake the car shuts off. I've done this several times.

We do it at our shop here in Dallas. We are currently working with Sewell Infiniti and installing remote start systems using the factory keyfob for all new or used Infinitis. We are currently working on a 2011 G25.

Can either of the dealer/installer guys give a ballpark cost? This is very appealing.

I have no use for one. Before I bought my car the go to guy tried to sell me on last minute options; such as changing the aluminum trim to wood, clear bra, spoiler, and the remote start. The price was definitely right but like I said I've no use for it.
