Question Navigation voice over stereo?

Has anyone noticed that the navigation voice is static over the music audio? It seems that the navigation directions come on and only mute one speaker. So when I'm listening to music it cuts it out on one speaker and I can barely hear anything.

Turn the volume for the prompts up and you should hear it. It lowers the volume on the front speaker[S]

The one problem with the NAV voice is that it should adjust WITH the radio. If you turn the nav voice up but decide you want to listen to your music low she comes on blasting, and if she's turned down and the music's up you can't hear her. It should be proportionate.

If you hit VOICE while Navigation is giving you directions and while she's speaking, turn your volume control *** to adjust it louder or softer...

I think its nice how the navigation system allows you to independently adjust the volume of the music and navigation on the go.

Back when I had the G35, you can only adjust navigation volume inside the navigation menu. When the navi voice comes on, it will lower them music to 1 volume, you can't adjust the music volume.

Yeah I don't like how it always stays at a specific volume even if music is quiet or really loud. I might just listen to music too loudly.

I guess what I really need is for the nav voice to increase/decrease with the audio proportionately after setting the voice/nav volume differential.

Why would you want that when you can adjust the volume for each independently? Doesn't that make more sense? I can set the volume that I want for the NAV and it stay the same all the time so that as the music is lowered the automatically the voice prompt volume stay the same; Independent of whats going on with the stero (music).

Its like a TV with the ability to adjust the volume of the comercials independently of the regular programing.

You should atleast have the option of making it proportionate. It's annoying to constantly adjust.

All you need to do is to adjust the volume while the navigation is talking and it'll adjust the volume of the voice. No need to press the VOICE button.

You do realize that the audio (music) is muted DURING nav play back right? So I'd adjust the nav to a volume that works for me and now I'd want to computer to tell me what it thinks is an appropriate volume level? So then whats the point in me setting the volume?

I don't know about yours but my 2011 only lowers the volume slightly. So not only do I not hear the nav prompt, my music gets messed up. I think maybe one speaker turns off or something.
