iPod interface issue?

Anyone else have this problem:

Occasionally, if I leave the iPod plugged in all the time (and I do), the Nav screen will tell me there is an issue reading the USB port and it won't come up unless I turn the car off and start it again. Unplugging and replugging the iPod doesn't work.

I had that issue occasionally with my 1G Nano but quickly unplugging/plugging the usb would resolve it. Last week I had the call-waiting TSB done and now my Nano isn't even recognized.

I have this occasionally with my ipod touch but simply unplugging it fixes the problem. I wonder what infinti has against blackberry because i tried my old blacberry with the call waiting and it was a no go. However on my Vibrant call waiting works perfectly fine after the tsb. Hasn't affected my Ipod either.

After two weeks of no problems (my first two weeks of ownership), my 09 G37x with Nav is displaying "there is no song", then later that no ipod was found. I've searched for the past hour, any solutions?

It now will not recognize the Ipod classic 160GB or my iphone4 at all. Should I just buy a new cable?
