Hey ModMe, my installer tried to do my friends 08 coupe today with Dball, for some reason its not working with factory remote or door buttons. Do you know if there is a difference between older G alarms and newer? He called Databus support and he said something along those lines. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Which alarm system are you using with the dball? Did he connect them with d2d?

Hey max I am local in Miami, I am curious which shop did the install? Also, do you think it is still in the 1000 price range or now that they have done a few it should be more reasonable?

Doesnt matter. I installed it on my 6mt. Car will only start when the car is in a neutral gear.

Couple of other things that i can think of:

1) CAN cables connected correctly? If the car can remote start, then this is probably fine.
2) Firmware flashed to the correct one?

Currently I have the DBALL control the doorlocking and the OEM security is disabled. When I have time, I plan to go back and connect the door lock wires and re-enable the oem security.

I got the alarm done at:

Custom Kar Sounds of Miami Inc

700 NE 167th St, Miami, FL 33162-2461 (305) 945-0037

You could probably talk them down a bit, their prices seem to be negotiable. You could also buy the alarm else where and have them install. May come out cheaper.

Man they are charging like $600 just for the install!!!! I know a few of you guys have done it yourself or is it worth paying $600? Also, I am understanding correctly that the only thing needed to make everything work is the actual alarm system and the DB-ALL (flashed to Nissan software)??

You also need to add a relay and diodes in there, but those things are dirt cheap. You can add additional sensors to the module if you wanted to. Also if you want to control the car with your phone, thats an additional module.

In all, there are around 20 wires that needs to be connected. Working in a public parking lot, in non-ideal conditions, with inadequate tools, it took me about 3 hours to do the install.

I dont have the slightest clue on how to install an alarm so i was pretty much stuck with them since no one else that i trusted was willing to do the install. Most places were saying they can do the alarm but not the remote start.
