Hey ModMe, my installer tried to do my friends 08 coupe today with Dball, for some reason its not working with factory remote or door buttons. Do you know if there is a difference between older G alarms and newer? He called Databus support and he said something along those lines. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Hey max I am local in Miami, I am curious which shop did the install? Also, do you think it is still in the 1000 price range or now that they have done a few it should be more reasonable?

You could probably talk them down a bit, their prices seem to be negotiable. You could also buy the alarm else where and have them install. May come out cheaper.

The firmware is available online. But you need an USB to D2D interface module in order to copy the firmware to the DB-all. Amazon.com: Directed Electronics XKLOADER2 Upgraded XKLoader Compatible with CANMAX400: Electronics
If your installer is familiar with DBall, then he should already have this. If not, then you might have to flash the firmware for him.

You also need to add a relay and diodes in there, but those things are dirt cheap. You can add additional sensors to the module if you wanted to. Also if you want to control the car with your phone, thats an additional module.
In all, there are around 20 wires that needs to be connected. Working in a public parking lot, in non-ideal conditions, with inadequate tools, it took me about 3 hours to do the install.

Man they are charging like $600 just for the install!!!! I know a few of you guys have done it yourself or is it worth paying $600? Also, I am understanding correctly that the only thing needed to make everything work is the actual alarm system and the DB-ALL (flashed to Nissan software)??
