Obstructed View Ticket

I got an obstructed view ticket once years ago. I was pissed. It was for a Van Halen concert. There was a pillar in front of our seats and you could only see Mike and Eddie unless you leaned way over to the side. It wasn't that bad though because Sammy Hagar's heart wasn't in the performance at all that night, he mailed it in. I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

One of my pet peeves is idiots that leave their blue handicap placard hanging from the rear view mirror. Those things block a significant area of view and they say right on them to remove them before driving; so unsafe!
In Cali, the law states that NOTHING may be attached to the windshield ANYWHERE, but it sure doesn't seem to be enforced, I see almost everyone here with something attached; radar, gps, smartphones, notepads etc...

You can get away with all kinds of vehicle code issues here depending on the image you project. Cops aren't required to ticket every vehicle they see with violations, they get to pick and choose.
I'm very happy to report; whatever type they like to pull over, it must be nothing like mine.

Any excuse to write a ticket. I believe the measure actually came into popularity because of Navigation units. I may be wrong though, since it seems more likely that radar detectors are the main culprit of this law.

You could get a ticket for your rosary, but that's a different type of ticket in Cali. Especially in the Bay Area. Hahahaha.
Bean baggies, placards, air fresheners, CD's, graduation tassels, iPad mounts... Who was the one with the stripper pole mounted in their car? Now that is an obstructed view! Damn distracting too when she's spinning around, upside down with her legs split.
