I totally agree. Basically you have an in car computer and a nav that you can change anytime you want to through App store and Cydia apps.
Now I gotta wait for my contract to finish up so I can get a new iPhone 4

Yeah, I actually did try out Garmin's new Iphone software, but it's freaking terrible at this point so I use Co-pilot. Obviously the possibilities are limitless....i also have used it to keep an eye on sports scores, facetime while driving, and using the internet browser while at rest stops to name a few....i just didn't want the video to get too long.

I used to have this exact setup with my 2007 G sedan and my iphone 4. I really miss this setup because i use AIRVIDEO to stream my movies from my server at home. But in my 2010 they got rid of the video input which really pisses me off. I was running this exact setup since 2007 with my iphone 3G/3GS and now iphone 4.
One thing to note, the Composite cables look horrible on the screen.... however what really makes me mad, is the fact hat XBMC is now been released for the iphone, meaning that you can run this on your car.
At least i have navi+bluetooth audio, which works amazingly well.

It would extra bad *** if those with nav (therefore touchscreen) could control the iPhone with the touchscreen on the console rather than only using the iPhone. Then you could just tuck the iPhone away....
Might have to get that Unlimited Data plan back for when on the road, otw this method will devour data

Two questions if I may... First, I just ordered the composite cable so that I can do this. I really want GPS on my screen. So, what is video bypass? I tried the search button but did not come up with anything. Second, do you have to jailbreak your phone because of the GPS software you are using, or is it so that you can do video out?
Thanks in advance
