Question Pandora via Blackberry via Aux-in?

Hi.

I have pandora on my blackberry, and in my last car I would use that to transmit via the aux-in (normal headphone plug) into my cars sound system.

I was disappointed to see Infiniti do ipod only.

Is there anyway to get this setup to work with a G37x 2011??

I tried the USB that works with my blackberry, but naturally that didn't work.

Thanks
Jim

There is no Aux-in for the 11 models. its USB only.......and I dont think a USB to AUX adapter exists

however.....if you have navigation...you also have AD2P, which allows u to stream via bluetooth from your phone to the car. I do it all the time.....i run my Pandora from the phone straight to the car via bluetooth. but this only exists with Navi

I don't think 08 has A2DP. You are better off getting a Bluetooth to ipod dock adapter like the anycom fipo - Amazon.com: Sprint Anycom FIPO Bluetooth v2.0 Stereo Receiver w/Dock Connector for iPod Speakers - Make your iPod Speakers Wireless!: Electronics. You should be able to get one for under $20 on ebay. Unfortunately this one does not work with '10 and forward - the bastards changed something in the usb port.

Worst case you can always get an FM transmitter adapter. Will play the audio over a certain FM frequency, you tune the radio to it and you'll hear the output from your phone. Audio quality isnt the greatest but if you have to be able to use it, it might be the only option.

For folks who have 08-09 and have the Ipod port - you are better off than the 10 G37 owners (non-nav atleast) since you can get the anycom fipo - Amazon.com: Sprint Anycom FIPO Bluetooth v2.0 Stereo Receiver w/Dock Connector for iPod Speakers - Make your iPod Speakers Wireless!: Electronics

You can then connect your phone to Fipo via bluetooth and your head unit will recognize it as an ipod. You should then be able to play/stream anything from your bluetooth capable phone. Also, the fipo supports AVRCP so you should theoretically use the steering wheel controls to skip/forward songs on pandora etc

I've been going through the same thing for my non-nav 10 -

I am leaning towards getting a bluetooth to fm transmitter - this way I can just hide the transmitter and dont have to worry about wires or connecting anything to my phone everytime I get into the car.

Just added an line level aux in on my 11 G37 w/o navi. Connected to the line level outputs of XM tuner and turned XM to channel 0. Works fine.
